The "Standard" Rules
They're standard for a reason so follow them...
- Nothing illegal including the content. So nothing under 18, no rape, torture, animals etc. I don't know why anyone with those sites would even want to sign up since the productivity would be so low they'd get no hits back. But there's the rule anyway.
- No cheating. This includes things like img src/hot linking, hitbots etc. Pretty obvious to anyone trying to make a living long term in this business. Eventually you get caught and then you need to start all over because all the webmasters that were trading with you have banned all your sites and all your gallery submissions etc.
- Don't redirect incoming traffic or serve different pages. Pretty much because if you're doing that then you're probably going to be more likely to cheat as well.
- No changing of the surfers home page. Really. Do you like it? Would you buy something from someone that did it to you?
- No pop-ups, consoles, autoloaders, sounds, autodownloading software, malicious software etc. on entry, exit or delayed.
- You've got to have some real content. In other words, skimming more than 50% to trades etc. is not acceptable.
- No "floating" frames/images etc. they're just a new form of pop-up/console.
- You've got to be on your own domain. No freehosts or username accounts like /somedomain.com/~account/
- Nothing to "auto bookmark" the surfer, force them to bookmark or trick them into bookmarking.
My Rules
These are "other" rules that most people expect.
- NO "FAKE" TGPs - keep them in your own network.
- You have to send 50 uniques a day. That's usually a force of only 3 an hour and for some sites (like this one) it's just the "extra" hits. The only exception to this is toplist sites.
- There must be a visible prominent hard link to my site. This means that your site must at least have a toplist on it somewhere.
- Every site has to be reviewed by me prior to being turned on. Too many people have been signing up that don't follow the rules and then just leach out some traffic.
- New sites are set to OFF, NOT ON TOPLIST and TO BE REVIEWED when they signup.
- You have to send AT LEAST 50 uniques before I'll even consider turning you on.
- Your site has to maintain not only the 50 uniques a day minimum but also a prod of AT LEAST 50% to be even left IN the database. HARD LINKS and TOPLISTS people!!

Soft Rules
These are things that might get you turned off.
- Resizing the surfers browser. I hate it. I would never buy from someone that did it to me. But for now I'll still trade with sites that do it.
- Thumbnail sites Linking to a trade via a thumbnail used to be considered
cheating. In fact, you can't trade traffic with Thumbzilla if you do it. Some of us
remember that this latest fad was attempted a couple years ago and didn't succeed.
Just look at the sites that are in the top 10-30-50 or so on sextraker. Any there?
The reason is simple. The productivity at the other end of the trade typically sucks.
So for now I'll let those sites signup but they will have to acheive higher
productivity to move up the toplist.
What Do YOU Get?
- A one to one exchange of surfers is actually about an 80% exchange rate (because of "losses").
- 85% of my trades are at LESS than 80%.
- 20% of my trades are getting 300%+ from me because their productivity is so good.
- It's FAR better to be sending me less hits but high quality than to send me nothing but blind traffic. Keep that in mind.
